ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.TAMILVANAN, J.) This petition has been filed by the petitioner/father of the detenue A.Shayeena, aged about 16 years, to secure his daughter, who is said to be missing from 05.06.2015 and to set her at liberty. 2.

Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mrs.V.Rajeswari, learned Counsel appearing for the detenue. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The alleged detenue A.Shayeena, the petitioner's daughter is produced before this Court.

When we enquired, the alleged detenue A.Shayeena submits that she married one Shahul Hameed, S/o.Mohammed Ali on 07.06.2015. He is also present in the Court. The detenue further states that she wants to go along only with her husband. Further, the mother of the detenue, who is also present in the Court, is also supporting the version of the alleged detenue.

A perusal of the School Record Sheet maintained by the School Authorities would disclose that the date of birth of the detenue A.Shayeena is 04.06.1997. Therefore, she attained majority even on the date of marriage. As she is a major, she is at liberty to decide her life.
