PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to modify the condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) before the trial court instead of the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand only) before the trial court imposed by the V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.56120/2023 dated 22.12.2023.

ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed challenging one of the condition that was imposed by the Court below while allowing the application filed by the petitioner for return of vehicle. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent. 3.The petitioner was aggrieved by the following condition imposed by the Court below:

1.The petitioner/owner of the property shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- with the satisfaction of this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to modify the above condition and there shall be a direction to the petitioner to execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to the satisfaction of the Court. 2/4

5.This criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
