2. Madhammal ..Respondent(s) To call for the records pertaining to Crime No.350 of 2021, dated 15.08.2021, on the file of the 1st Respondent and quash the same as unsustainable in law and pass such further orders as deem fit and proper in the facts of the case and thus render justice.

For Petitioner(s):

Mr.SP. Chockalingam For Respondent(s):

Mr.Leonard Arul Joseph Selvam, Additional Public Prosecutor, For R1

ORDER

The petitioners, who are arrayed as accused in Crime No.350 of 2021, for the offence under Sections 143, 447, 188, 294(b), 323, 506(1) IPC have filed this quash petition seeking to quash the proceedings.

2. The contention of the petitioners is that three different incidents have been clubbed and a single complaint has been lodged. Since each incident is distinct, registration of a common FIR and conducting a joint investigation would cause serious prejudice to the petitioners, as different accused are alleged to have participated in different incidents.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation in this case has now been completed and a charge sheet has been filed on 01.04.2026 before the Judicial Magistrate, Palacode and the same is yet to be taken on file.

4. In view of the above submission, the relief sought for in the present Criminal Original petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, the petitioners are given liberty to challenge the charge sheet, if they are so advised. 07-04-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order PVS
