O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to grant police protection to the petitioner and his property.

It is seen from the complaint given by the petitioner on 22.12.2020 that the petitioner has become the owner of the property by virtue of a settlement deed and the 2nd respondent is a tenant in the property. The petitioner seems to have requested the 2nd respondent to vacate and hand over the premise and the 2nd respondent is said to have refused to vacate the premise and had caused threat to the petitioner.

In a case of this nature, the police will have absolutely not role to play and it is for the petitioner to approach the concerned Court and seek for the eviction of the 2nd respondent in the manner known to law. Except giving this liberty, no further orders can be passed in this writ petition. No costs.
