.. Respondent PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondent police to give police protection to the Meeting which is scheduled to be held on 24.03.2018 from 10.30 a.m to 4 p.m at 4/20, Mayor Ramanathan Road, Chetpet, Chennai 31.

ORDER

Apprehending that certain persons, namely Mr.Pongianan, Mr.Ramamurthy, Mr.Selvaraj and Mr.T.TambuRaj, create disturbance with the restricted hands in the meeting scheduled to be held on 24.03.2018, the petitioner claims to have given a representation on 15.03.2018 to the respondent police seeking for police protection and since the said representation was not considered in time, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

It is seen that the petitioner herein has not impleaded the alleged obstructors as party respondents and as such, it would not be appropriate to direct the respondent police to extend the police protection. Nevertheless, the ends of the justice would be met, if the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2018, after giving due opportunity to the alleged obstructors, namely Mr.Pongianan and 3 others. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. In the result, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the respondent seeking suitable relief and on receipt of such application, the respondent shall consider the same, on its own merits and in accordance with law, and after giving due opportunity to Mr.Pongianan, Mr.Ramamurthy, Mr.Selvaraj and Mr.T.TambuRaj, he shall pass an appropriate orders. Such an exercise shall be completed preferably before 24.03.2018.

4. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
