This Court, taking into account, the fact that the enquiry with regard to the community status of the respondent is pending before the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribe, Vigilance Cell, Madurai Region, directed the said Officer to complete the enquiry and submit a report through the Director, Tribal Welfare.

2. When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Advocate General produced a copy of a report submitted by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe, Vigilance Cell, Madurai Region, to the Director of Tribal Welfare. It is for the State Level Scrutiny Committee to give due opportunity to the respondent and pass final orders. Let the State Level Scrutiny Committee conclude the entire process as expeditiously as possible and report before this Court positively by 05.08.2019.
