[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the petitioner's daughter Priyanka, aged about 18 years, before this Court and set her at liberty. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Priyanka, aged about 18 years went missing from 30.12.2020 and the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. 3.

Today, Mr.S.Ravi (Mobile No.9498177326, 9498101343), Sub-Inspector of Police, Palladam Police Station, Tiruppur District, is present.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Palladam Police Station Crime No.18 of 2021 has been registered on 02.01.2021 for 'woman missing'; during the course of investigation, it came to light that Priyanka was in love with one Karuna Sindhu Bihara from Odisha, who had come for employment to Tiruppur and has eloped with him. In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Palladam, to monitor the investigation in Palladam Police Station Crime No.18 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when Priyanka (detenue) is secured, she may be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Palladam, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palladam, shall pass appropriate orders with regard to the custody of the detenue in accordance with law.
