Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to construct the additional building and compound wall to safeguard the entire area alloteed to the Panchayat Union Middle School, Veppamarathur Village, Dharmapuri District based on the proceedings of the 4th respondent vide Na.Ka.111/2018/A2 dated 31.05.2018.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.Krishnasamy Chinnasamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. The grievance of the petitioner appears to be that the existing school building does not have any compound wall for protection and the respondents may be directed to construct the additional building as well as the compound wall.

3. A status report has been filed by the fourth respondent, in which it is stated that the proposals have been given for acquisition of additional land and for construction of new school buildings. The proposals have already been forwarded and are now pending with the Government for final consent for grant of funds.

4. The said proposals shall be dealt with expeditiously. The respondent State shall also consider the representation of the petitioner for construction of compound wall on its own merits expeditiously.

5. The writ petition, as such, stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
