Prayer: This writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ particularly in the nature of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's request dated 20.03.2017 to provide new service electricity connection to the petitioner's shop in the ground floor, No.8, First Main Road, Vijaya Nagar, Velachery, Chennai - 600 042.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's request dated 20.03.2017 to provide new service electricity connection to the petitioner's shop in the ground floor, No.8, First Main Road, Vijaya Nagar, Velachery, Chennai - 600 042.
2.Though the prayer appears to be innocuous in nature, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 4 would submit that the application said to have been given has not been received.
3.This Court does not want to get into the merits of the case. Suffice it is to permit the petitioner to make a fresh application to the fourth respondent. On receipt of the same, the fourth respondent shall consider it as per law. While doing so, it is open to the said authority to hear the other parties, if so required.
4.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
