Respondent Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 5.10.2017 with encloser and 9.12.2020 with encloser and take steps to get the petitioner's proposal for reforms examined by a Committee of experts in economics and carry forward the same for the benefit of the public.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy, J.) Mr.T.V.Krishnamachari, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

2. This writ petition is filed by a senior lawyer of this Court. He states that he had submitted proposals to the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) for improving the agricultural sector and to generate employment.

3. The respondent is an expert body tasked with taking necessary measures to improve the economy in every respect. As such, this Court cannot issue a mandamus directing the respondent to accept and take further steps in terms of the proposals by the writ petitioner.

4. Accordingly, without examining the merits of the representations or proposals submitted by the writ petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the said proposals within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and take an appropriate decision after so considering the said proposals. Any such decision shall be communicated to the writ petitioner.

5. W.P.No.2107 of 2021 is disposed of on the above terms. There will be no order as to costs.
