IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT MADRAS

DATED: 25.01.2022

CORAM:

THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE R.SUBRAMANIAN S.Shalini ... Petitioner/Petitioner Vs K.P.Harish ... Respondent/Respondent PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to direct the II Additional Family Court at Chennai to dispose of the Original Petition in O.P.No. 663 of 2021 within the stipulated time fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

*** For Petitioner : Ms. S. Revathy

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks direction for early disposal of O.P.No. 663 of 2021 filed by her seeking restitution of conjugal rights. Considering the limited prayed sought for, notice to the respondents is deemed unnecessary. 1/3

2. The Petition itself has been presented only in January 2021 before the Family Court at Chennai and a counter has been filed on 07.10.2021 only. The Family Courts at Chennai are already over crowded and are reeling under docket explosion. Hence, I do not think it will be fair to direct early disposal of the original petition which is just about a year old. Hence, this Civil Revision fails and accordingly, it is dismissed giving liberty to the petitioner to renew the request after some time. No costs. 25.01.2022 vsg Index: Yes/No Speaking order / Non speaking order To:
