Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to dispose the second appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 20.08.2022 as per G.O.Ms.No.147, Revenue Department dated 17.03.2016 and to proceed with the enquiry regarding genuineness of social status and verification of Kurumans (ST) community of the petitioner and his children namely, S.Nethra and S.M.Vikash within the time frame.

(Order of the Court was delivered by V.M.VELUMANI,J.) The present writ Petition is filed for a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 for a speedy disposal of the second appeal filed by the petitioner dated 20.08.2022 and to proceed with the enquiry regarding genuineness of social status and verification of Kurumans (ST) community of the petitioner and his children namely, S.Nethra and S.M.Vikash. 2.By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.P.Gurunathan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2/6

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the entire materials on record.

4.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that application given by the petitioner for issuance of ST Community Certificate was rejected by 4th respondent and challenging the same, the petitioner filed First Appeal and the same also was rejected by 3rd respondent. Now the petitioner filed Second Appeal to the 1st respondent on 20.08.2022, the same is pending from August 2022 and hence, the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition for speedy disposal of the second appeal filed by the petitioner. 5.Mr.P.Gurunathan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent will conduct enquiry and hearing the petitioner and second appeal filed by the petitioner will be disposed of within a period of six months. 6.Considering the above submissions, the 1st respondent is directed to dispose of the second appeal dated 20.08.2022 filed by the petitioner 3/6

as expeditiously as possible, in any event within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

7.With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
