ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash the Domestic Violence proceedings initiated by the respondent in M.C No.99 of 2014 on the file of the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner brought to the notice of this Court that the matter has been compromised between the parties and a compromise memo was also filed before the II Additional Family Court at Chennai on 08.01.2016. As per the compromise memo, the respondent has agreed to give consent to quash the proceedings initiated by her under the Domestic Violence Act.

In view of the above development, the proceedings in M.C No.99 of 2014, on the file of the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai is hereby quashed and accordingly, these Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
