[Made by S. M. SUBRAMANIAM, J.,] This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondents for their wilful disobedience of the order dated 19.03.2024 passed in W.P.No.6990 of 2024.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that pursuant to the direction of this Court, enforcement actions have been initiated and notices under Section 7 as well as under Section 6 of "the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 (Tamil Nadu Act III of 1905)" {hereinafter "1905 Act" for the sake of brevity} were issued to the encroachers. The encroachers preferred appeals before the District Collector under Section 10 of 1905 Act. Thus, the respondents are directed to continue the enforcement actions subject to the final orders to be passed by the District Collector in the pending appeals filed under Section 10 of 1905 Act.
