Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to Writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2020 and subsequently to extend the time limit framed by the notification of the 4th respondent dated 20.12.2019 to further period of 2 months for registration of eligible voters to the 5th respondent office.

There is no appearance for the the petitioner.

The prayer in this writ petition is for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 06.01.2020 and extend the time limit framed by notification issued by the 4th respondent i.e. Special Officer/Inspector, HR&CE Administration Department dated 20.12.2019 by two months for registration of eligible voters to the post of Inspector/Thakkar of the Veeranarayana Perumal Thirukoil,

3. Mr.NRR Arun Natarajan, learned Government Advocate would, however, state that the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous. He would state that the petitioner has himself participated in the elections and thus nothing further survives in this writ petition.
