ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.12.2021 and give adequate Police Protection to ensure Kumbabusega Poojas in respect of Pudavaikkari Amman Temple situated in Beemanaikkanur Village, N.Pudukottai Taluk, Namakkal District on 23.01.2022, for one day function. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had sent a representation, dated 18.12.2021 to the respondent Police to provide Police protection to ensure Kumbabusega Poojas in respect of Pudavaikkari Amman Temple situated in Beemanaikkanur Village, N.Pudukottai Taluk, Namakkal District on 23.01.2022. He further submitted that it is a family temple of the petitioner, except his family members, no other would participate in Pooja.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submitted that now, lock down restriction has been imposed due to third wave of COVID-19. If it is among the family members, the same may be considered by this Court. 4.In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to give the particulars of the family members, who are going to participate in Pooja to the respondent Police and also inform the exact date and time of conducting Pooja. The respondent Police shall take proper action depending upon the restrictions of the Government and also considering the law and order situation.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
