The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

The case of the petitioner is that under the pretext of conducting an enquiry in connection with a gold loan transaction carried out by the petitioner bank in the ordinary course of banking with one Easwaran, the respondent police are unnecessarily harassing him. 3.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given against the petitioner, the respondent police are conducting an enquiry. He further submitted that since prima facie materials have been made out against the petitioner, the respondent police have registered the case in Crime No.99 of 2025 and the presence of the petitioner is required for enquiry. 4.

In view of the above submissions, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
