ORDER

Heard Mr.S.Udhaya Kumar, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Pavithra, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent. 2.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to pay the monetary benefits applicable to the post of Superintendent from February, 2009 and the monetary benefits applicable to the post of Senior Superintendent in May, 2013 and consequently refix the petitioner's pension as per basic salary applicable to the post of Senior Superintendent.

3. Mr.S.Udayakumar, the learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that the petitioner joined as an apprentice in the respondent corporation in the year 1984; though the petitioner became eligible for Selection Grade Typist, in the year 2007, she was given with Selection Grade belatedly in the year 2010; accordingly, the petitioner should have been given with the post of "Superintendent" in the year 2009 but she was promoted to the said post only in the year 2011 and later promoted to the post of Senior Superintendent belatedly in the year 2013; hence the petitioner has given several

representations to the respondent to give promotion to pay monetary benefits and pension applicable to the post of Senior Superintendent in the year 2013; since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 4.

When the matter was taken up today, Mrs.S.Pavithra, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent, submitted that the respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders.

5. Since the petitioner had given a representation on 23.05.2018, the respondents shall consider the same and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed. No costs. 07.03.2024 Index: Yes / No Speaking order / Non-speaking order bkn
