The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on his representation dated 13.03.2018, wherein and whereby, he sought for appointment of a Special Officer to Mastan Sahib Valiullah Dargah Karaikal.

2. Mr.C.T.Ramesh, learned Additional Government Pleader (P), who takes notice for the respondents 2 and 3 submitted that though the third respondent office is vacant, there is an officer called Wakf Officer, who will consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the above said submission, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the Wakf Officer, Wakf Board, Puducherry to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.03.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
