ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to call for the records and to quash the proceedings as against the petitioner/ accused s pending in Cr.No.377 of 2012 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Siva Kanchi Police Station, Kancheepuram. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the he is a municipal servant and working as Meter Reader in the Kancheepuram Municipality. The defacto complainant has filed compliant before the first respondent and upon various criminal original petition filed before this Court, the criminal proceedings against him is dropped by the first respondent

against him. Subsequently the defacto complainant filed the private complaint and Judicial Magistrate I, Kancheepuram has received the said private compliant and issued direction to investigate the same subject matter under Section 156(2) of Cr.P.C. the first respondent has registered the same in Cr.No.377 of 201.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would further submit that, it would suffice, if this Court permits the petitioners to furnish the particulars before the law enforcing agency to prove their innocence and issue direction to the law enforcing agency to complete the investigation within a time frame.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor concedes to the request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and on instructions, he would further submit that the investigation will be completed within the time frame fixed by this Court.

5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this Court without going into the merits of the case, is inclined to issue direction to the law enforcing agency to complete the investigation in Crime No.377 of 2012, after giving opportunity to the petitioners, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioners are directed to co-operate with the law enforcing agency for early completion of the investigation.
