ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences under Sections 4(1)(a) and 4(1-A) of TN Prohibition Act, in Crime No.6 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 06.01.2022, the respondent police seized 5 litres of rectified spirit from the place of the petitioner. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is no way connected with the alleged offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he would pray for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would raise strong objection stating that the petitioner/A3 has got 15 previous cases out of which, 4 cases have been disposed of and that the other accused/A1 and A2 have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.

5. On seeing the nature of allegation in the FIR and the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
