ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM,J.) The mother of the prisoner has filed the present writ petition to direct the respondents to consider her representation dated 03.01.2025 for transfer of the prisoner from Central Prison, Puzhal to Central Prison, Madurai.
2. Mr.R.Sankarasubbu, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that the prisoner is suffering from various ailments and has to take treatment in a private hospital at Madurai. The mother of the prisoner is also aged and therefore the present writ petition is to be considered.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor Mr.R.Muniyapparaj would oppose by stating that the prisoner was already taken to the Government Stanley Hospital at Chennai. As per the advice of the doctors, all necessary treatments will be provided to the prisoner. Regarding transfer of prison, the representation submitted is under consideration.
4. That being so, the respondents are directed to consider the said representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, W.M.P.No.903 of 2025 is closed. No costs.
