ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.B.Manimaran, learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. The petitioner seeks directions against the respondents to decide the representation given by the petitioner to issue commemorative postage stamp, honouring the departed person as the first freedom fighter.

3. We are not inclined to entertain such a writ petition. It is not a case of breach of fundamental rights. In exercising the writ jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, such directions cannot be issued. It is for the executive to consider the same.

4. In the light of that, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
