Comp.A.No.21 of 2021 in C.P.No.279 of 2016 Comp.A.No.21 of 2021 in C.P.No.279 of 2016 R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.

This application has been filed under Section 446 of the Companies Act seeking payment of a sum of Rs.1,72,700/- with interest at 18% per annum from 18.10.2016 till date of payment.

2. The report of the Official Liquidator reveals that the respondent is liable to pay a sum of Rs.1,72,700/- to the Company in liquidation as per the mortgage loan advanced to him.

3. Notice was ordered to the respondent. Though he was served on 17.05.2021, he has not chosen to either appear in person or through counsel duly instructed. There has been no reply to the notice issued by the Official Liqudator prior to the filing of this petition, despite service of such notice.

4. Accepting the report of the learned Official Liquidator, this application is ordered as prayed for.
