O R D E R

Mr.R.Kumaravel, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for respondents Nos. 1 and 2. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission stage itself.

2.The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to renew the document writer's

license (License No.A/1641/99/CH(S)) of the petitioner for the period from 01.01.2019 to 31.12.2023 on the basis of the application submitted by the petitioner on 10.12.2018 in Form-C along with the original chalan receipt and original license. 3.The facts of the case are as follows:

The petitioner is a licensed document writer by profession. The petitioner was originally granted with document writers license during the year 1984 and the petitioner was renewed the same from time to time. Likewise, on 29.11.2013 the petitioner applied for renewal of license for the period from 01.01.2014 to 31.12.2018 to the respondents and the same was not considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner filed a writ petition in W.P.no.13293 of 2016. This Court by its order dated 11.04.2016, disposed of the petition and directed the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders. Thereafter, the respondents renewed the license upto 31.03.2018 instead of 31.12.2018, Against the same, the petitioner again filed a writ petition in W.p.No.1378 of 2018.

This Court allowed the said petition and directed the respondents to renew the license of the petitioner upto 31.12.2018. Thereafter, the same was renewed upto 31.12.2018. On 10.12.2018 the petitioner made an application to the respondents for the renewal of the license from 01.01.2019 to 31.12.2023. But the respondents have not taken any steps to renew the license so far. Due to inaction of the respondents, the petitioner filed the present writ petition before this Court seeking for the above said prayer.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a document writer and he had renewed the license from time to time. The petitioner submitted his application for renewal in Form-C on 10.12.2018. Therefore, the learned counsel prays that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to consider the petitioner's application dated 10.12.2018 and to take appropriate action within the stipulated time as fixed by this court.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 submitted that the application dated 10.12.2018 of the petitioner will be considered and necessary action will be taken in this regard within the reasonable time as fixed by this Court.

Considering the genuine request made by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents 1 & 2 to consider the petitioner's renewal application dated 10.12.2018 and to take appropriate steps within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
