ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the second respondent to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's property situated at Door No.1226 comprised in Survey No.236/4B in Kathankudikadu Village, Ariyalur Taluk.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen that there is dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent in respect of the subject property. In this regard, the third respondent raised objections before the second respondent not to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner for the subject property. Further, there was a peace committee meeting held between the petitioner and the third respondent. No order has been passed so far.

4. In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to conduct enquiry, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and third respondent and give an opportunity of hearing to them and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such order, the second respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner seeking electricity service connection for the subject property subject to the order to be passed by the first respondent.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
