ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 120B and 420 of IPC in Crime No. 1 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner joined hands with other accused as a trustee of one "Oli Charitable Trust" and collected a sum of Rs.3.71 Crores from 250 victims with the promise of giving good returns and subsequently, she cheated the public and siphoned off money. Hence, the case has been registered.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is working in the insurance field and she is not involved in any of the alleged transactions. He further submitted that already the arrested accused in this case were granted bail and she is falsely implicated and has not collected any money. Therefore, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the money involved in this case is Rs.3.71 Crores. Petitioner is ranked as A6. In this case the majority of the allegations are that the petitioner and other accused have

collected the money and she is also a trustee, actively participated in meetings and victims have also stated that she had collected money from them. Hence, opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. The petitioner herein filed petitions totally two cases, as far as the present case is concerned the total amount involved in this case is Rs.3.71 crores and she has actively participated in Trust activities and also siphoning funds. So far no property is recovered. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and that there are two cases pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 09-02-2026 MPA To
