Heard Mr.N.Manokaran, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.N.Inbanathan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent, Mr.K.Ravikumar, learned counsel for the second respondent. Despite service of notice on the third respondent and his name being printed in the cause list, there is no appearance either in person or through counsel. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to carry on the contract work given to the third respondent in Ward No.1, Shri Venkateshwara Nagar, as per the work order dated 29.07.2016.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that though the work order to the third respondent was issued in the year 2016, however, due to financial crunch the amount was not released. After filing of this writ petition, the second respondent has sanctioned the fund and the third respondent has commenced the work and it is expected to be completed within a period of two months.
4. In the light of the above facts, this Court directs the third respondent to complete the work as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
