ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for alleged offences punishable under Sections 316(4) of BNS, in Crime No.731 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner while working under the de facto complainant, the petitioner had siphoned off a sum of Rs.22 lakhs to the bank account of his family members and thereby, misappropriated a sum of Rs.22 lakhs. Hence, the case has been registered.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the de facto complainant, by threatening the petitioner, has obtained the bank account details of the petitioner's family members and himself transferred the said amount, which was withdrawn for his personal benefits. Further, he submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the investigation in this case is still pending and, hence, she opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of the allegation, and the fact that the huge amount has been siphoned off into the bank account of the petitioner's family members and that, sofar, no amount has been recovered, this Court is not

inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
