O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent authority to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 18.01.2018, on merits and in accordance with law within a reasonable period.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner repeatedly mentioned that seniority of the petitioner in the post of Assistant Hyderogeolosit has been overlooked and therefore, the petitioner has given a representation, but the same has not been disposed of. However, the petitioner was also advised that he was not sponsored by the Employment Exchange and therefore, he has filed W.P.No.26768 of 2009, challenging the non-consideration of his name for selection to the post of Assistant Hydrogeologist. In the said selection process, without including the name of the petitioner, the respondent authority had selected and appointed 7 candidates as Assistant Hydrogeologist on 24.02.2010. The said writ petition was disposed of by this Court, vide order dated 16.07.2010, by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner while filling up the remaining 14 vacancies based on his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation dated 18.12.2009, after affording him reasonable opportunity to the petitioner to attend interview.

It is the claim of the petitioner that while selecting the available 30 vacancies, including the remaining 14 vacancies, interview was conducted and after completion of selection process, 30 candidates were appointed and the petitioner was one among the selected candidates, as per the proceedings dated 22.02.2013. Aggrieved by the combined seniority list for 37 Assistant Hydrogeologist by placing the petitioner as Junior to the candidates selected in the first batch of 7 Assistant Hydrogeologist on 24.02.2010, the petitioner has also filed his objections, vide communications dated 09.12.2016 and 11.07.2017, however, the respondent failed to pass any orders on the petitioner's objection. Therefore, the petitioner has filed an appeal dated 18.01.2018, which was also acknowledged by the respondent authority on 19.01.2018, but till date the appeal has not been disposed of and hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. This Court is unable to follow the case of the petitioner. It is neither stated in the affidavit nor explained properly by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner in his arguments. Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
