This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to entrust the investigation of the case in Crime No.116 of 2017 pending on the file of the second respondent to the superior officer in the rank of the Assistant Commissioner of Police.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the investigation of the case in Crime No.116 of 2017, would be conducted by the second respondent under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chennai.

3. In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in this matter. Hence, recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
