The petitioner/A2 in Crime No.159 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of TN Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) order 1982 r/w 7(1)(a)(ii) EC Act, 1955, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is stated that A1 had been arrested with possession of 21,000 kgs of rice and 7,000 kgs of Kurunai rice. It is also stated that this petitioner is the mediator who supplied the rice to A1. A1 had been detained under TN Act 14 of 1982. The earlier application seeking anticipatory bail had been dismissed on 24.11.2023.

3. A counter had also been filed and there is no change in circumstances, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 12.02.2024 rjr https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2
