ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioners herein in the guise of enquiry.

2. This petition has come up today for admission. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and I have also perused the records carefully.

3. It is seen that wife of the 1st petitioner has given complaint against the petitioners for dowry harassment. Under such circumstances, no direction as sought for can be granted. The respondent police shall refer the matter to the Social Welfare Department for enquiry and take action in accordance with law as per the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].

4. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
