ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2025, and consequently, direct the 2nd respondent to promote the petitioner notionally by fixing his seniority to the post of Deputy Manager with effect from 07.03.2019, with all monetary and service benefits.

2. Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.C.Gauthamaraj, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the second respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Assistant Engineer (Trainee) in the Pattukottai Alagiri Transport Corporation Ltd., Vellore on 25.09.1992 and after completion of his training, he was absorbed as Assistant Engineer on 08.02.1994 and thereafter, he was promoted to the post of Assistant Manager in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation

(Villupuram) Ltd., on 10.11.2008. On 19.03.2016, he was transferred to the second respondent Transport Corporation on deputation. While so, the third respondent issued proceedings dated 18.07.2025, promoting the petitioner to the post of Deputy Manager with effect from 04.07.2025. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner made a representation dated 26.09.2025 before the second respondent, seeking to notionally fix his seniority to the post of Deputy Manager with effect from 07.03.2019. However, the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner has preferred the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of six (6)

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
