In a proposed suit for recovery of money from the first and second defendants, the applicant seeks leave to sue the second defendant before this Court. The applicant states that a part of the cause of action arose within the jurisdiction of this Court because mediation relating to the payment of amounts claimed by the applicant took place at Chennai and that both the defendants participated at such meetings.

2. Upon examining the draft plaint and considering the above submissions, at least a part of the cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court. Consequently, A.No.328 of 2023 is allowed by granting leave to the applicant to sue the second defendant before this Court. As a corollary, the Registry is directed to number the suit, if otherwise in order.
