There is no representation for the petitioner.

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order issued by the Government in G.O.(Ms).No.103 Public Works (A2) Department dated 31.05.2012, whereby the service of the 6 th respondent has been extended for a period of one year from 01.06.2012 F.N. to 31.05.2013 A.N., in Category-1, Chief Engineer (Branch-I, Public Works) in Tamil Nadu Engineering Service in public interest.

3. Though the petitioner herein has challenged the said order dated 31.05.2012, there is no interim order passed by this Court, the period for which the impugned order has been issued as already elapsed as early as on 31.05.2013. Further, the petitioner herein has only sought for quashing of the impugned order, but he has not sought for any consequential relief in his favour. 3/6

4. In the light of the above, this Court is of the considered view that the relief sought for in this Writ Petition has practically infructuous. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
