Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2025 for issuance of patta either in survey No.64/3 or in survey No.64/4 of Viswanthangal Village, Tiruvannamalai Taluk and District.
WP No. 2457 of 2026 Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2025 for issuance of patta either in survey No.64/3 or in survey No.64/4 of Viswanthangal Village, Tiruvannamalai Taluk and District.

Mr.C.Jayaprakash Govt Advocate COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed seeking for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioners for the property morefully described in the prayer to the respective writ petitions, based on their representations dated 21.04.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioners claim that they belong to Adi Dravidar community, and
therefore, they are entitled for issuance of patta for the subject property based on the government scheme. The petitioners had given representations dated 21.04.2025 with the respondents seeking for issuance of patta in their names. Since the said representations have not been considered till date, they have filed these writ petitions.
3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the aforesaid representations of the petitioners are considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing objections if any from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom the respondents deem fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, these writ petitions are disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass final orders on the petitioners' representations dated 21.04.2025 seeking for issuance of patta in their names for the property morefully described in the respective prayer to these writ petitions, after hearing objections if any from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom the second respondent deems fit to enquire, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No Costs. 02-02-2026
