PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 18.12.2024 in BCDFGISSSV No.1265 of 2024 against the petitioner's son, karthick @ Mochakotta Karthick, son of Murali, aged about 24 years, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and set him at liberty. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.474, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 31.01.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.
2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
