to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take necessary action to allot the petitioner residential house under the Perumbakkam Tenemental Scheme, within a stipulated time.

ORDER
The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to take necessary action to allot residential house under the Perumbakkam Tenemental Scheme to the petitioner, within a stipulated time.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was evicted from his hut with a promise that he will be allotted a new house under the scheme "Perumbakkam Tenemental Scheme". It is the further case of the petitioner that he had approached the respondents, several times seeking for the said allotment. Under such circumstances, he submitted a representation to the respondents, which was not considered, till date. Hence, this writ petition.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents seeking for allotment of residential house in a scheme introduced by the respondents viz., Perumbakkam 2/5
Tenemental Scheme. Hence, he prays before this Court that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.09.2022, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Reiterating the counter affidavit, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent submitted that encroachers in the said allotment were evicted and houses were allotted only to eligible persons who are having residential proof. However, he has no objection for issuance of appropriate directions in the above regard.
5. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 03.09.2022, if not considered already, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
