ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.113 of 2013 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Coimbatore. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 22.11.2019, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and hence the matter was directed to be listed on 25.11.2019 under the caption "for dismissal". Accordingly, today i.e. 25.11.2019 the matter is listed under the caption "for dismissal", but, when the matter is called for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner sought adjournment, which this Court is not inclined to grant, since the matter is pending from the year 2013 without any progress and it is listed under the caption "for dismissal" and also sufficient opportunities given to the petitioner to argue the matter on merit.

Hence, this criminal original petition is dismissed for default. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
