ORDER

The petitioner claims that she is a Guest Lecturer in Physics. She has got preference as per para 6 of the guidelines annexed with G.O.Ms.No.269 Higher Education Department dated 25.11.2022 for the post of Guest Lecturer in Physics. The petitioner was earlier working as a Guest Lecturer at Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College for Women, Walajahpet. Based on her experience and as per G.O.Ms.No.269 Higher Education Department dated 25.11.2022, she applied to the post of Guest Lecturer in Physics. She has given a representation on 04.01.2023 to the respondents requesting them to appoint her as Guest Lecturer in Physics in any of the colleges by claiming priority in appointment as per para 6 of the guidelines annexed with G.O.Ms.No.269 Higher Education Department dated 25.11.2022. Since the representation has not been considered till date, she has filed this writ petition. 2.

Heard Mr.S.Nedunchezhiyan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.P.Vijaya Devi, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 04.01.2023 seeking for appointment to the post of Guest Lecturer in Physics in any of the colleges by considering the petitioner's vast teaching experience as a Guest Lecturer in terms of para 6 of the guidelines annexed with G.O.Ms.No.269 Higher Education Department dated 25.11.2022 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
