O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.550 of 2012 on the file of the respondent, Udumalpet Police Station to any other the investigation agency.

2. It is seen that the investigation in Crime No.550 of 2012 is pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Udumalpet Police Station, Tiruppur District. Now, almost seven years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now.

3. However, considering that the crime is of the year 2012, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.550 of 2012 and file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already filed.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
