This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the appeal filed under Section 3G (5) of the National Highways Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Act") within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.
Heard Mr.G.M.Anandtha Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondent.

The case of the petitioners is that their lands were acquired under the Act and compensation was also fixed by an award dated 30.06.2022. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the respondent and since the same was not taken up for hearing, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.
Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the 2/4
case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioners under Section 3G (5) of the Act and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law after affording an opportunity to the petitioners within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
