ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 05.07.2025 for the offences punishable under sections 307 & 302 r/w.34 of IPC

in Crime No.156 of 2014 in S.C.No.43 of 2020 on the file of the III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Virudhachalam, seeks bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner jumped bail in S.C.No.92 of 2015 for the offences under sections 307 and 302 of IPC and absconded for a long period. He was arrested only on 05.07.2025 and his case was also clubbed with another split-up case, S.C.No.43 of 2020, on the file of the III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Virudhachalam. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was not aware of the pendency of the Non Bailable Warrant for a long period and and is ready to abide by any condition imposed by this court. Hence prayed for grant of bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner had earlier appeared before the Sessions Court in S.C.No.92 of 2015, then absconded and jumped bail on 17.08.2016. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner jumped bail in S.C.No.92 of 2015, which has now been clubbed with S.C.No.43 of 2020, and the petitioner was

arrested only on 05.07.2025, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
