ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to give electricity service connection to the petitioner's premises in survey No.132/5A ward No.13, to an extent of about 3347 sq.ft. vide plot No.HIG-15, in Narasingapuram Village, Attur Taluk, Salem District by considering the petitioner's online application dated 29.11.2024.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the afore said property was purchased by the petitioner and his brother, vide sale deed dated 07.11.2018. After purchase, the petitioner has put up construction for residential use in the property. The petitioner's brother already obtained service connection for the building put up by him. The petitioner submitted on-line application before the second respondent on 29.11.2024 seeking single phase service connection, vide application No.2000455911241097. The said application has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this court.

3. Mr.I.Syed Sibquthulla, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the petitioner failed to pay the charges for considering his application and hence, his application has not been considered.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready to pay the amount and produce the receipt for the same before the second respondent.

5. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to produce the receipt for payment of necessary charges before the respondents along with the other documents as required, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order and on receipt of payment of receipt and other documents, the second respondent shall consider the application of the petitioner and pass final orders on its own merits, within a further period of four weeks thereafter.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
