ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to pass orders for absorption of the petitioner as Headmaster in the Government Schools or Government Aided Schools, in accordance with Section 26 of the Tamil Nadu Regularized Private Schools (Regulation) Act, 1973, with continuity of service and other consequential benefits, including arrears of salary in consideration of the petitioner's representation dated 04.12.2025.

2. Ms.Mythreye Chandru, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was initially appointed as B.T. Assistant in the Union Teacher Training Institute, Vellore on 03.03.2003 and was subsequently promoted as Principal on 29.10.2010. Owing to the reduction in the number of students studying in the said Institute to less than

30% of the approved intake, a Show Cause notice dated 25.10.2019 was issued by the third respondent. Pursuant to which, the Institute made a representation on 11.11.2019. Thereafter, the third respondent vide proceedings dated 22.07.2020, informed that no grant could be extended to the Teacher Training Institute due to shortage of students and recommended that the teachers employed therein be transferred to other Schools or Teacher Training Institute, under the same Corporate Management. Consequently, the petitioner, being a Principal in the cadre of High School Headmaster, made several representations before the first respondent, seeking absorption in any Government Schools or Government Aided Schools. However, the same have not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner has preferred the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the first respondent to consider the latest representation of the petitioner dated 04.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first

respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.12.2025 on merits and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
