Respondents Prayer :- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Declaration to declare the GO.(Ms) No.971 dated 27.06.1985 issued by the first respondent as null and void and consequently direct the second respondent to revert the land back to the petitioners comprising in S.Nos.316/2A & 3A.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Declaration to declare the GO.(Ms) No.971 dated 27.06.1985 issued by the first respondent as null and void and consequently https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

direct the second respondent to revert the land back to the petitioners comprising in S.Nos.316/2A & 3A.

2. Heard, Mr.C.Vigneswaran, the learned counsel for the petitioners, and Mr.V.Jeevagiridharan, Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the representation of the petitioners dated 07.12.2021 and, after issuance of notice to the petitioners and giving them opportunity of hearing, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
