ORDER

This Court, while disposing of the writ petition in W.P.No.37193 of 2016, by order dated 25.10.2016, has

directed the 1st respondent herein to consider the representation of the petitioner based on the recommendation of the District Forest Officer, Thiruvallur, and the recommendation of the then Forest Ranger of Gummidipoondi Forest Range dated 14.02.2015 and to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks.

2.Alleging non-compliance of the said order dated 25.10.2016, the present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that pursuant to the order of this Court, the representation of the petitioner was considered and the 1st respondent has passed an order dated 05.04.2017 rejecting the claim of the petitioner. He has also produced a copy of the order passed by the 1st respondent dated 05.04.2017 for perusal of this Court. Thus, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the order of this Court has been duly complied with by the respondents.

4.Since the order of this Court has been complied with, nothing survives in this contempt petition and accordingly, the same is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order passed by the 1st respondent, if he is so advised.
