O R D E R

Apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.12 of 2025 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 318(4), 351(2) of BNS, 2023 and also under Section 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998, the present petition has been filed seeking anticipatory bail.

2. Pleading innocence on the part of the petitioner, false implication in the case, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this court. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent

condition that may be imposed by this Court.

3. The case of the prosecution as putforth by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police, opposing for grant of anticipatory bail, is that, when the respondent police on their regular patrol duty, at that time, the petitioner was found to be illegally selling banned lottery tickets to the public. He would further submit that the petitioner has 26 previous cases of similar nature.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on record, considering the previous cases against the petitioner, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 24.01.2025 dsn
