O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed by the wife of the detenu for a direction to the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

2. It is seen that the petitioner's husband Sengoda Goundar went missing in connection with which, a case in Crime No.260 of 2015 for man missing has been registered by the respondent police on 09.04.2015 and investigation is in progress. The respondent - police have filed a status report dated 31.10.2015 stating that steps are being taken by the police for tracing the missing person. It is also stated that despite best efforts taken, the missing person could not be found out.

3. Recording the above statement, this petition stands disposed of directing the respondent-police to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.260 of 2015 to reach a logical conclusion and report to the petitioner as and when any material is found out.
